Gate
Gate 15 — The Gate of Human Variety
Gate 15 in the G center embraces extremes, from intense activity to deep rest, and accepts the full range of human variety.
Overview
Gate 15 is comfortable with extremes. It can swing from intense activity to deep stillness, from sociable to solitary, and it tends to accept these swings as normal. This gate also carries an interest in people's differences and a sense that the variety of human behavior is part of a larger pattern. Its gift is flexibility and a wide-ranging acceptance, and its challenge is to find a rhythm that supports rather than exhausts.
Working with this gate
Plan for your extremes instead of fighting them: intense days followed by recovery, or bursts of socializing followed by quiet. Ask: What does my natural cycle look like? Where do I judge myself or others for being too much or too little?
Where Gate 15 sits
Gate 15 lives in the G center and is part of the Logic circuit (Collective group). Its channel partner is Gate 5 (the 5-15 channel of Rhythm). The gate counts as defined when a planet activates it in your chart; if Gate 5 is active as well, the channel forms and links your G and Sacral centers.
The six lines
Every gate has six lines that color how its theme is lived. Treat these as short reflections rather than rules; traditions describe the lines differently, and your whole chart matters more than any single line.
- Line 1: You are grounded in your own patterns and are cautious about adopting someone else's idea of normal.
- Line 2: Your range is natural to you, and you may not notice that others find it unusual.
- Line 3: You discover your limits by pushing past them and learning from the consequences.
- Line 4: Friends help you moderate your extremes or celebrate them, depending on how well they know you.
- Line 5: People may see you as an example of what is possible, which can bring both admiration and pressure.
- Line 6: You develop a view of human variety that is wide and tolerant, and you help others feel at home in theirs.
