Channel
Channel 23-43 — The Channel of Structuring
Channel 23-43 links the Throat to the Ajna. It is a flash of original insight that needs the right words and the right moment.
At a glance
- Gates: 23 and 43
- Centers connected: Throat and Ajna
- Circuit: Individual (Knowing)
- Name: The Channel of Structuring
What it is
Channel 23-43 connects Gate 23 (explaining) in the Throat with Gate 43 (insight) in the Ajna. It is called the channel of structuring: a flash of original understanding that is eventually expressed in an organized form.
How it tends to show up
People with this channel often have ideas that seem to come from nowhere. You may have sudden realizations that are hard to explain, and it can take time to find the right words. When the words come, they can be remarkably clear, or surprising to the listener.
Because the insight is unique to you, others may not always understand it at first. You might be called a genius or an eccentric, depending on the audience. The task of this channel is to translate inner knowing into language that fits the person in front of you.
Growth edges and tips
- Wait to be asked. Insight lands best when there is an invitation to share it.
- Practice translating. Try explaining your idea in different ways until one connects.
- Be patient with misunderstanding. Not every audience is ready.
- Write it down. Capturing insights in a journal gives them structure and lets you share them when the time is right.
Reflection
Which insight of yours would be easier to share if you had the right listener?
If you only have one of the two gates
If only Gate 23 or only Gate 43 is active in a chart, the channel is not formed and it does not link the Throat and Ajna centers. A lone gate like this is often called a hanging gate. Its theme is present but shows up in a more flexible, in-and-out way, and you may feel the missing half most when you are around someone who carries it.
