Gate 37 — The Gate of Loyalty and Friendship

Gate 37 in the Solar Plexus center is a warm, loyal drive to build community through fair exchange and shared care.

Overview

Gate 37 is concerned with belonging. It builds friendships and communities through a mutual understanding: we look after each other, and we keep our promises. It is warm, loyal and ready to commit to people, and it is quick to feel hurt when the exchange feels one-sided. At its best, it creates the glue that holds families, teams and neighborhoods together.

Working with this gate

Make expectations explicit, and give as well as receive. Notice if you are giving more than you can sustain. Ask: Who are my people, and what do I want from them? Where do I need to state a need that I am hoping others will guess?

Where Gate 37 sits

Gate 37 lives in the Solar Plexus center and is part of the Ego circuit (Tribal group). Its channel partner is Gate 40 (the 37-40 channel of Community). The gate counts as defined when a planet activates it in your chart; if Gate 40 is active as well, the channel forms and links your Solar Plexus and Heart centers.

The six lines

Every gate has six lines that color how its theme is lived. Treat these as short reflections rather than rules; traditions describe the lines differently, and your whole chart matters more than any single line.

  • Line 1: You build trust slowly and want a clear understanding of what is expected before committing.
  • Line 2: Friendship comes naturally, and your warmth draws people to you.
  • Line 3: You learn about loyalty through friendships that end, and become more discerning about whom you trust.
  • Line 4: You thrive in a stable circle and invest deeply in your closest bonds.
  • Line 5: People expect you to hold a group together, and the demands can be heavy.
  • Line 6: With age you become a wise elder in your community, who understands that loyalty can be generous and also bounded.
